Fall Homeschool Programs at Painted Sprigs

We are so excited for our Fall Programs here at Painted Sprigs-
We are a process art studio - but our programs are so much more than that. We cover things like:

• Creative Problem Solving
• Engineering and Geometry
• Poetry and Storytelling
• Color Theory
• Long Project(more on that below)
• Life Sciences and Ecology(nature is our muse!)
• Artist Study
• Art's role in our life

What is our Homeschool Program?

We have 2 age groups for our Homeschool Program.
Ages 5-7 and 8-12. Rough schedule is Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Each group meets once a week for a drop off workshop. Workshops are 2 hours. 
​If the parent prefers to stay they are always welcome. 
Each parent will receive a PDF with summary of objectives, work and and images and notes made for the students.

Objectives

Our objective for Fall Homeschool Program is to nurture the child's unique interests and perspectives of the world around them and building connections. Everything is inter-related. 
We have a general outline for topics to present to the students. As we discuss them in our workshops, we encourage the children to decide what direction we will take the topics.
Which brings us to our Long Project.

The Long Project

In our program we will present a real world problem(past or present) and discuss possible solutions in our workshops. From the children's interest we will encourage experiments and research into methods, materials and practices to try out our ideas. 

Registration

Registration will be open in August and workshops begin after Labor Day. Sessions run for about 6 weeks with Holiday break around Halloween and Thanksgiving. (We have a Halloween Celebration for Homeschool Families during the break)  Dates will be posted at Registration time. There will be Session 1 and Session 2 options for registration.
